The board finalised its list of candidates from Kyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday in a meeting chaired by Imran Khan at the party’s central secretariat in Islamabad.
Most of the candidates from the Punjab who have applied for National Assembly seats have already left for Islamabad to be interviewed by the board if required.

Earlier, the Lahore district committee headed by Abdul Aleem Khan had forwarded a list of 38 candidates for the 13 National Assembly seats and 75 candidates for 25 Provincial Assembly seats.
The candidates have been recommended on the basis of their affiliation with the party and their participation in party activities during the last three to four years, an office bearer said.
The lists have been handed to PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhry for submission to the CPB.

A committee member told The Express Tribune that Aleem Khan had been nominated for two National Assembly constituencies and Chaudhry for a national and provincial constituency each.
As many as 84 candidates had applied for tickets to 13 National Assembly seats from Lahore, and 238 for 25 the Provincial Assembly seats. The maximum number of ticket applicants for a National Assembly constituency was 16 (for NA-126) and the minimum two (for NA-124).
