Fiscal Year: Rs589m govt taxes collected

BAHAWALPUR: More than Rs589 million government taxes have been collected from the Bahawalpur district in the current fiscal year, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Dr Naeem Rauf said on Monday.

He said that Rs159 million was recovered as stamp duty, Rs51.1 million as registration fees, Rs40.5 million as capital value tax, Rs248.8 million as transfer fees, Rs66.5 million as water tax and Rs23.2 million as agriculture income tax.

The DCO said that revenue officers were making efforts to recover more government taxes in the district.
