Pakistan Day: Army organises festival in Quetta

Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court Qazi Faez Isa inaugurated the event.

QUETTA: A festival organised ahead of Pakistan Day started in Askari Park on Thursday.

Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court Qazi Faez Isa inaugurated the event that was organised by the Pakistan Army and the Balochistan government.

Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Mohammad Alam Khatak, Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durani, Quetta Commissioner Qambar Dashti, Frontier Corps Inspector-General Major General Obaidullah Khatak, GOC  41 division Major General Majhar, Quetta DC Abdul Saboor Kakar and DIG Operations Fayaz Sunbal attended the opening.

The festival will continue till March 23. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, Balochistan chapter will organise a Pakistan Day rally on March 23 in the provincial capital.

A statement issued by the party’s regional office stated that the rally will start from the Pashtunabad area and after marching through the city will end outside the Quetta Press Club to mark the day.

PML-Q central leader Nasibullah Achakzai and other leaders will lead the rally.
