KARACHI:

The Sindh Lower Courts staff has announced a three-day strike, demanding a pay raise.

The staff marked the first day of the strike today by staging a protest at the city and district courts Malir.

They blocked the entry and exit points of the courts and chanted slogans against the authorities for non-fulfillment of their demands.

They insisted that Supreme Court Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and the Sindh High Court's Chief Justice take notice of their demands and raise their salaries in accordance with the new judicial policy.
