Transition: K-P Assembly to be dissolved today

Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti will remain on his seat till caretaker CM Justice (Retd) Tariq Pervez steps in.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and cabinet will stand dissolved from today (Tuesday).

Chief Minister (CM) Amir Haider Khan Hoti will remain on his seat till caretaker CM Justice (Retd) Tariq Pervez steps in.

Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said the paperwork for the interim setup has been completed and after Hoti’s signature the advice will be sent to Governor Shaukatullah Khan.

The minster said the oath-taking ceremony for the interim setup will take place on March 20.

ANP Provincial General Secretary Arbab Muhammad Tahir said it was decided in a meeting with the prime minister that all assemblies would be dissolved on March 19, but due to the grim situation in Balochistan, its assembly was dissolved on March 18.
