A breach of decorum : KBA chief questioned for bad behaviour

The lawyers have been asked to explain their behaviour by March 20.

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court issued a show-cause notice on Monday to Karachi Bar Association (KBA) president Naeem Qureshi and some other lawyers for allegedly misbehaving with the judicial officers and breaching the courts’ decorum on March 11.

Chief Justice Mushir Alam issued these notices after a complaint was sent by the district and sessions judge, West, Shahnawaz Tariq.

The lawyers have been asked to explain their behaviour by March 20.

Additionally, some senior lawyers, including Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, Mukhdoom Ali Khan, Abid Zubedi and Faisal Siddiqui, have been appointed as Amicus Curiae (friends of court) to assist the court.
