GUJRANWALA:

The body of a student, who had been kidnapped for a Rs10 million ransom, arrived at his home on Saturday.

Sher Khan, son of Jehanzeb Khan, had been fond of modelling. Some of his friends kidnapped him after calling him to Lahore by promising a modelling opportunity. They then demanded Rs10 million from his family for his safe release.

The kidnappers killed Khan and threw his body in Pattoki. It was initially buried. The Gujranwala police exhumed the body and handed it over to Sher Khan’s family. Three suspects have been arrested in the case.

The deceased is said to be a nephew of Justice (retd) Tanveer Ahmed.
