FAISALABAD:

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) will restore gas supply for 48 hours to CNG stations in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala and Bahawalpur from Monday.

An SNGPL spokesman said here on Saturday that gas supply to CNG stations would be restored from 6am on Monday to 6am on Wednesday [March 20].

He said the country was facing a severe gas-shortage as a result of which the SNGPL was following a load management schedule in the province.

Muhammad Hameed, a spokesman for All Pakistan CNG Association had earlier protested against the load management schedule.

He said the SNGPL was not considering billions of rupees that had been invested in the sector.

He said more than 80 million people were directly or indirectly affected due to the load-management schedule.
