CIA Police claimed on Saturday to have arrested four suspects in two kidnap-for-ransom cases.
Police said the suspects had confessed and Rs2.5 million in ransom money had been recovered.
Two men were arrested for kidnapping and killing a student from Gujranwala. The student was abducted in Chuhng and Rs5 million demanded for his release.
The suspects murdered the student even though his parents paid Rs500,000.
The second incident involved a young woman who was kidnapped by two men from the Garhi Shahu market. The kidnappers had initially demanded Rs400 million as ransom but had released her after they were paid Rs8 million.
