President Morsi would be the first civilian, democratically and freely elected President of Egypt to visit Pakistan since Gamal Abdel Nasser in the 1960s.
The engagements of the Egyptian president would include a one-on-one meeting with President Zardari, followed by delegation-level talks and a lunch hosted by the president.
The two leaders are expected to hold extensive discussions on all areas of bilateral relations including regional and international issues of mutual interest. They would also be signing a number of agreements.
President Morsi's visit is expected to impart dynamism to the bilateral ties and to expand, diversify and strengthen relations between the two countries in all spheres.
On arrival at Noor Khan Airbase, President Morsi would be welcomed by a 21 gun salute and at the President House by a Guard of Honour.

Morsi to visit India from March 18 -20; how many hours stop over at Islamabad?
What kind of government Pakistan has, Is it Parliamentary or Presidential. Last time I checked it was suppose to be Parliamentary and the PM is to represent the country but some how PPP government was run from the Presidential House. Well, hopefully the new elections will bring in a government where the President will be put in place where he belong ie: figure head of the country. This man has done so much damage to this country's institutions that it will take year to repair it. President Morsi should have waited till after the elections in Pakistan, his wheeling and dealing with the President is negation of democratic norms and rules and he should have known it.

Maybe - US Presidents are notorious for making foreign trips when they come under heat at home.
@cautious: Is that why Obama is out for Middle East?
@roadkashehzada: President Zardari will be there - duh!!
is Zardari still president?
Like other leaders who have difficult time managing their own countries - when things get tough at home it's time to visit another country.
We welcome the President of Egypt with deep love. People of both the countries have brotherly ties with each other, and feel happiness and sorrow for each others achievements and mishaps. In July 1998, I stayed in Cairo for a day en-route to England. Pakistan then had recently test detonated nuclear devices, and I could see the happiness of a common Egyptian on Pakistan's achievement. Many cab drivers specifically congratulated me and expressed their well wishes for Pakistan.
somebody tell him we ll have caretaker set up on 18th. who will he talk to?
lunch party hahah
It is a good sign. Hope to see some positive developments in the Pakistan-Egypt relations.
