Apex committee: Govt officials discuss security measures

the governor stresses the importance of maintaining peace for rehabilitation of displaced tribes from FATA.

PESHAWAR: The apex committee reviewed the overall law and order situation in the province in its 32nd meeting held with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah in Peshawar on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Corps Commander Lt. Gen Khalid Rabbani, Chief Secretary Ghulam Dastagir the IGFC, IGP and the home secretary besides heads of other law enforcement agencies.

Speaking on the occasion, the governor stressed the importance of maintaining peace for rehabilitation of displaced tribes from FATA.

The governor said old cross-border routes of trade via various tribal agencies should be opened.

The meeting was also briefed about the pace of progress on ongoing security measures as well as rehabilitation arrangements in affected areas.
