MIRAMSHAH:

Two foreign militants were killed on Sunday when a US drone fired two missiles in Datta Khel tehsil of North Waziristan Agency.

A security official said that around 8:35am, two militants riding on horseback were killed on the spot when a drone fired two missiles on them in Daigan area, 35 kilometres west of Miramshah.

The missile attack was the first by an unmanned American drone in Pakistan for at least a month, the official explained.

On February 8, at least eight militants were killed when drones fired militants in Razmak division of the agency.

Since January this year, US drones attacked militants seven times in both North and South Waziristan agencies. Approximately 50 militants, including the South Waziristan Taliban commander Mullah Nazir, have been killed as a result while seven were reportedly injured.
