FAISALABAD: Two men were killed and two others have been wounded from aerial firing into air at marriage ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday in Faisalabad.

Sikandar Waseer, a resident of Chak-244, was hosting a marriage function for his grandson when some guests fired bullets in the air to ‘celebrate’ the occasion. One of the bullets hit a guest, Sher Nawab. The deceased was being taken to a hospital when he died.

In a similar incident at a marriage ceremony in Chak-277, two guests, Fayyaz and Nasir, were seriously injured when they got hit by stray bullets. Both were rushed to a hospital but Fayyaz died on the way. Nasir was taken to the divisional headquarters hospital where his condition was said to be critical.

Saddar SHO said that the police had not received any complaints with regard to the incidents. He said the bodies of the deceased had been sent to the mortuary for postmortem.

Naseem Ahmad, a photographer, is also reported to have suffered a bullet injury while filming a marriage function in Chirala village.
