Police Briefing: ‘1,296 arrested in February’

Police claim, they have recovered weapons and stolen goods worth Rs14 million from 1,296 arrested criminals.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Police claimed on Saturday to have recovered weapons and stolen goods worth Rs14 million from 1,296 criminals arrested in the district in February.

According to Rahim Yar Khan police, 64 criminals possessing illegal weapons were arrested and four rifles, 15 pistols, 10 revolvers, 35 carbines and 264 cartridges were recovered from them.Police said 89 criminals involved in drug dealing were also arrested and 16 active distilleries closed, 12 grams of heroine, 280kg hashish and 1,514 bottles of liquor had been seized.
