Enforcing the ban: Thousands of kites seized

A man recently died in Gujranwala after the kite twine slit his throat.

GUJRANWALA: Police seized thousands of kites and arrested a man in a raid on a kite factory here on Saturday.

Police said that on receiving information that kites were being sold in Bakhtai Wala Bazaar, they raided Ahsaan’s house and arrested Sajawal along with thousands of kites. A man recently died in Gujranwala after the kite twine slit his throat. Several other people have also been injured.
