Actor Madhuri Dixit is all set to star in the much anticipated sequel to Vishal Bhardwaj’s 2010 hit Ishqiya, Dedh Ishqiya.
She plays the role of a royal who expresses her love with poetry, reports the Hindustan Times. The actor is also preparing to star in her comeback film, the story of Gulab Gang, opposite actor Juhi Chawla.
Actor Priyanka Chopra is working hard to get an athletic body for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s biopic on boxer Mary Kom. PC will start shooting from June and is currently busy training for the role.
Actor Kangna Ranaut replaced actor Irrfan Khan for the lead role in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Revolver Rani. Directed by Sai Kabir, Kangna essays a rural criminal who carries a revolver throughout the film.
Reliable sources have confirmed that actor Vidya Balan has been finalised to play music legend MS Subbulakshmi in a biopic made by ad maker-cinematographer Rajiv Menon.

@gp65 Perfectly on point. It's refreshing to see older, established women, that too with families at home, finally making their way into lead roles as opposed to being thrown out like old "hags" and bringing in actresses young enough to be the lead's daughter! take Ash for example (although she's a bit younger), though I'm not crazy about Aishwarya Rai as an actress, I do give her props for being among the first who resumed her career within weeks of her marriage and still plans to return after having had a baby. Good for her. Next on the list ought to be equal pay for actresses and more roles of substance as opposed to decoration pieces or "item" girls.
Welcome trend. Not just that these are women centric films but the fact that 3 out of these 4 are married women and 2 in their mid 40s and yet they will be starring in central roles. Thus the trend of women merely as candy floss is changing.
