FAISALABAD:

All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) has said that it might hold a sit-in protest in Islamabad over continuous gas load shedding on March 12.

Muhammad Naseer, an APCNGA spokesperson, said on Thursday the CNG station owners had invested billions of rupees in the sector and the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) was not helping their cause.

He said, “We have repeatedly requested the SNGPL authorities as well as the government functionaries to supply us uninterrupted gas but our requests have not been granted.”

Naseer said the CNG station owners, like other businessmen, also needed to safeguard their investments.

He said a hunger strike and sit-in would be started if uninterrupted seven-day gas supply was not restored.

He also warned of a countrywide.
