Due to difficulties faced by foreigners in registering themselves at the Foreign Office, the Home and Tribal Affairs Department (HTAD) on Wednesday asked the city police to find another place to establish a camp office.
A press release issued by the government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Wednesday stated the Foreign Office was located in Peshawar Cantonment, which is out of bounds. The statement asked to find accommodation near the Intermediate and Secondary Education Board on Jamrud Road or Hayatabad, so that all foreigners, especially Afghan nationals, are able to register themselves without facing obstacles.
The department also asked authorities to make sure all foreigners arriving in K-P register themselves with foreigner registration offices (FRO) within three days. These offices are located in district police offices across the province and in special branch police offices in Peshawar.
