Academic linkages : LUMHS, Malaysian University collaborate

LUMHS VC Mashoor Alam Shah explains that the universities will primarily collaborate on prosthetic limbs programme.

HYDERABAD: Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, and Universiti Sains Malaysia have decided to expand academic linkages and community outreach programmes between the two universities.

LUMHS vice-chancellor Prof. Mashoor Alam Shah and Dr Zurei da Zenun from the Malaysian university, signed the agreement in Jamshoro on Monday.

Shah explained that the two universities will primarily collaborate on the prosthetic limbs programme.

Pakistan has only two centres at present that conduct research in this field, he said.
