QUETTA:

Angry demonstrators blocked highway routes leading to Quetta on Sunday in protest against the killing and arrest of Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leaders.

The protesters staged a series of demonstrations across the city chanting slogans against the government. ASWJ workers also blocked roads at Bolan, Dhadar, Dera AllahYar, Sibi, Naushki, Mastung, Khuzdar, Dalbandin, Taftan, Hub, Qila Abdulah, Yaro and Loralahi and other areas for any kind of traffic.

While talking to the media provincial president of ASWJ Balochistan chapter Ramzan Mengal said that his party members were being killed in the guise of fake encounters, adding that such tactics will not demoralise his party members.

The call for a strike was given against the killing and arrest of ASWJ leaders and other members of the party in a suspected operation.

The strike also aimed to register protests against the firing during the party’s rally in Liaquat Bazaar which left several party members injured.

Come on dudes ...... you are all banned organizations. Don't ask for any patronage to destroy the fabric of our society which in nature is liberal. No one should be given free hand to kill any person in our country on religious differences or beliefs and that is it.
