At least 18 people were killed and over 50 were wounded in multiple blasts in the crowded Dilsukhnagar area of Hyderabad on Thursday.
Imam, a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was killed in a targeted attack on January 17, which the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have claimed responsibility for.
An Indian news channel aired a program identifying eight alleged terrorist suspects who are purported to have been behind the attacks in Hyderabad.
The news channel was referring to a member of the Indian Mujahideen (IM), however, used Imam's photo. The IM member was allegedly the “mastermind” behind the bombings.

You have provided exemplary publicity to that news channel. Any how it is not a shame to accept a mistake. But at the same time it strikes me if you all could show the same intensity of involvement with your nation, i think you will reach a un scalable height. Why this is not happening and you already have lost nearly 35000 invaluable lives.

@ all pakistani bloggers. There is nothing called "Indian Media". There are over 900 TV channels,99% of which are privately owned channels and over 35000 Newspapers, including 3500 daily publications. if one channel of the 900, shows a wrong picture, Govt of India or the rest of the media cant be responsible. India TV, the channel that is supposed to have used the picture, has a low credibility, and rather poor viewership. So most Indians are surprised that a respectyablr newspaper like the express has made this such a prominent news item that the incredulous Rehman Malik has commented!

There are many duplicates in India. They must be having which look 100% like our leaders of different factions and creeds. No surprise if some day our media prints the face of some popular Indian figure in suicide bombings.

I can understand your desperation to latch on to mistakes like these, in a bid to get us off your backs. Last time, our Govt. provided a dossier full of info abt the involvement of state and non-state actors from your country. To my knowledge there was no discussion about its contents by any of your Govt. body... just plain denial...

On behalf of my brethren, the Indians, may I tend my apology for the dumb mistake by an overenthusiastic television person and the oversight of their editors. It can certainly seem that when it comes to terror attacks, especially in India, we are overzealous and jump into conclusion that Pakistanis are involved. HOWEVER investigations in many cases do prove it to be the point. Which is why there is such hurrying "certainty" which is, though a bit immature, not inappropriate in hindsight.It is an understood fact by Indians and the world and most learned Pakistanis now, that there IS a hatred factory and constituency in Pakistan who target India now and then for political aims and for 'retribution' for whatever they feel.

ha ha ha, Indian intelligence and media did the same thing before when they suspected two innocent shopkeepers of Pakistan and published their photos on its website and newspapers and as results these shopkeepers lodged protest infornt of their shops.

Wow - 35 comments for a mistake which happens with every media industry in the world. Instead of laughing, take a deep breath and look at yourself in the mirror. Time to ponder why only 2 comments for 6 laborers murdered on a highway in Pasni.
This is ridiculous. The media must be "named" and taken to task, esp the concerned writer and the editor. But one must ponder the idea of burquas and beards which make many people look alike and being taken as a different identity. No excuses though.

Happens all the time in media all over the world in this 24/7 news cycle. Eminently laughable except for the family of the deceased. But then, none of it is going to solve Pakistan's problem, as @Iqbal points out, of being identified as the terrorism central with Pakistanis being looked on with suspicion all over the world. You can either introspect or keep laughing.

Instead of laughing at Indian media, it is time for introspection by the muslim community all over the world.
This goes to show that anyone with beard and from pakistan or bangladesh looks like a terrorist to rest of the world. If you watch on TV, all the Imams/Mulla's with long beards and turbans burning down the buildings or flags or killing people. They all look the same to the rest of the world.
