False charges: LHC suspends sessions court’s orders
The date for the next hearing would be fixed by the registrar’s office.
LAHORE:
Justice Kazim Raza Shamsi of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday suspended a ruling by the Sialkot sessions court in which the police had been instructed to register a case against Sarfaraz Gohar Qureshi on the complaint of his former wife MPA Shamsa Gohar. Qureshi submitted that Mirza Nasir, a close friend of his ex-wife, had accused him of making threatening phone calls to both of them. He prayed the LHC to suspend the session court’s order. Justice Shamsi suspended the orders and issued notices to Nasir and the SHO concerned. The date for the next hearing would be fixed by the registrar’s office.
