Trip ends in tragedy: MUET deputy registrar robbed

The university’s spokesperson, Imdad Soomro, told The Express Tribune that the victim is in critical condition.

HYDERABAD: The deputy registrar of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Zahid Hussain Shah, was robbed and injured near Purana Hala, Matiari, on Tuesday.

He was travelling with his family in a car when some robbers attacked him and snatched cash and mobile phones.

One of the bullets hit Shah on the left side of his chest. He was initially taken to a hospital in Hyderabad and transfered later to Karachi.

The university’s spokesperson, Imdad Soomro, told The Express Tribune that the victim is in critical condition.
