Tennis: Qamar clinches Subhe Nau title

Qamar was awarded a prize-money of Rs12,000 for successfully defending his title.

KARACHI: Former Davis Cupper Nomi Qamar claimed victory during the Subhe Nau Tennis Championship as he defeated Talha Zubair 6-2, 6-4 in the final at the KMC sports complex yesterday. In the ladies singles category, Hania Naveed took the title as she beat Neha Khan 6-0, 6-1. Qamar was awarded a prize-money of Rs12,000 for successfully defending his title, while Naveed collected was given Rs7,000.
