Newer version : FBR launches WeBOC in Peshawar

Peshawar is the second largest collectorate in respect of handling exports worth $2 billion annually.

PESHAWAR: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) moved forward to launch a new version of the computerised customs clearance system – WeBOC – at the Peshawar collectorate. The first module for the customs clearance at the airport was being launched and it now will enable the collectorate to handle exports and import at the air freight unit on WeBOC. Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar is the second largest collectorate in respect of handling exports worth $2 billion annually. Requisite training had been provided to all the stakeholders including clearing agents, airlines staff, customs officials and all others. Assistant Collector Peshawar Airport, Asfandyar Khan shared his views about the newly developed module. Mohammad Riaz, Member (Customs), FBR was of the view that the new module will help in efficient deployment of resources, minimise clearance time at ports, reduce the cost of doing business and will go a long way in ensuring better cash flows, transparency and integrity.
