Child abuse: Eight-year-old assaulted

The boy’s father said that his son had been playing in front of their house before he went missing.

BAHAWALPUR: An eight-year-old boy was sexually assaulted on Sunday allegedly by a ninth class student from the neighbourhood. The victim, who was found lying in a field, was taken to Shaikh Zayed Hospital, where doctors treating him said he was now out of danger. Abhayat SHO Nazir Ahmed Shah said that an FIR had been registered. He said the police were looking for the suspect. The boy’s father said that his son had been playing in front of their house in Chak 56-P before he went missing.
