Kidnapped: Infant recovered from ‘magician’

BHALWAL: A three-month-old child, kidnapped allegedly for black magic, was recovered by the police on Friday. The kidnapper was arrested. Police said Shehnaz Bibi, a resident of Asmat Colony, visited Gulab Bibi’s home and introduced herself as a relative of her husband. They said when Gulab Bibi went to the kitchen to make tea for the guest, Shehnaz Bibi fled with her baby boy. Gulab Bibi and her husband Allah Yar informed the police and started looking for the woman in the area. A few hours later, a police team, led by City SHO Ghulam Hussain Chadhar caught the woman in a graveyard, where she had hidden the boy in the bushes and was chanting some sort of spells. The woman was arrested and the baby was handed over to the parents.
