QUETTA: Balochistan’s health department has formed a 15-member advisory advocacy panel on nutrition, vaccination and health-workers advocacy in the province.

According to a notification issued by the department, the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) comprises representatives of UN agencies, donor agencies, civil society, religious leaders, media and experts from the provincial health programmers.

TAG is headed by the director-general of Health Services. The panel will receive input from stakeholders on various health interventions.

Officials said the group will lobby for policy reforms to improve health delivery network and demand more monetary allocations. Nutrition Cell Deputy Director Dr Ali Nasir Bugti said that for every programme, TAG would act as platform of discussions for stakeholders so they could share their experiences and make plans for meeting challenges.
