The board, constituted by the court to determine Shahrukh’s age, had asked the police to submit an earlier conducted report of bone tests and physical inspection.
“It was quite clear, all the teeth were present including four wisdom teeth,” said the member of the medical board on condition of anonymity as the case is still in court. “It was very disappointing that police did not bring the relevant documents for that we still have to wait till February 9.”
The board also thinks the X-rays and medical reports conducted earlier are important pieces of information as it will allow the board to compare the difference between the current X-rays and reports from previous examinations.
Shahrukh, is prime suspect in murder of Shahzeb Khan, the young son of a police officer, who was shot dead in the upscale Defence neighbourhood of Karachi on December 25 over a petty dispute. Shahrukh, who had slipped away from the country to evade arrest after the murder, was brought back by the police after he was deported from Dubai. He was identified as the alleged killer by the witnesses during an identification parade.
An anti-terrorism court had earlier directed the medical superintendent of Services Hospital to constitute a medical board to conduct Shahrukh’s ossification test on January 17.
The previous medical report was rejected as police surgeon Dr Jalil Qadir was not eligible to pronounce Shahrukh as a minor between the age of 17 and 18. Dr Qadri was then presented a show-cause notice. The provincial heath department then constituted a six member board headed Professor Junaid Ashraf, Principal of Dow medical College.
Dr Muhammed Taufeeq secretary of the board told to media that Shahrukh underwent six X-rays, while teeth and hair examination have also been conducted.
The medical board is due to reconvene on February 9 to check documents, Taufeeq said.

Wisdom teeth are no proof of being adult it erupts during 16-25 years age, even younger it is possible and recorded. Even if he is murderer still be fair to him.
Look for facts avoid cooking them like Pakistani Police.
All the things are going in the right way just because Supreme Court has taken action, otherwise there is no law in Pakistan for the elite class.
If he is young enough to commit crime then he is also young enough to face punishment.. That is it..
Now one need to analyse the events in chronologically Earlier medical report was presented in the court declaring Shah Rukh Jatoi - SRJ as minor by concerned authority. The prosecutor lawyer accepted the report in the court and judge on that acceptance sent the SRJ children age. No objection from the Shahzeb father and family on this report. The SC raised question on the medical report of SRJ The concrned Judge of lower rejected the earlier medical report and order for a fresh medical examination in next hearing by a medical board. Formal Report is still awaited but this interim news showing he is not minor.
Now my queries are Why prosecutor accepted the earlier medical report and did not raise objection. Why the lower court judge accepted the earlier medical report and then rejected in next hearing only after SC notice. And now the medical board news seems SRJ may be declared major.
It shows that how the system is so corrupt that to determine the age of a accused in a media hifi case the SC has to take notice, then what is done with a common person case where no media or SC is involved, One can imagine.
Is there any way to get out of this state of affairs in Pakistan, I think NO.
He was in Dubai therefore he has a passport. He had to show his birth certificate the get a passport. Therefore his age is known. Why do we need this charade?

well I dnt find any thing wrong with judiciary in Pakistan,,Its abt us,we as a nation are lost,,we dnt know how to take our stance how to pursue an evil.we are so busy in our dumb dull lives that nobody pays a heed wts happening to the person standing next to him/her.Judiciary will look into it and I am sure he will be dealt as per his deeds but it can only happen if we ppl get serious n united for our safety & rights,,Alas! this poor nation has got such a weak memory,It forgets every thing else If they hear abt any Dharna for LFO or 58 2B or any new political reforms(best suited to the organizing party's interests),when we ppl will realize the basic problems we are facing and GOD knows when we will stand together for our rights not for the corrupt leaders interests,,, :(

Tribune, please correct it. We also have a Dr. Tahir-ul Qadri. Confusion might exist because of this.

What is his date of birth in Birth Certificate, CNIC (if he got one) and Passport? I heared his father on a TV channel saying that his son is doing MBA from Australia. If that's the case, he is well over 18. I don't understand these procedures?
Anwer Chughtai its very easy to forge the ID card in pakistan to show fake age.

The university in Australia where he had been allegedly studying will have all his transcripts and documents showing his age.
The schools he attended in Pakistan should have his records. His record at the passport office?
One does not necessary have to go through a medical board alone, there are so many other simpler ways which can aid the board towards correct determination .
Please take immediate judgment of this case without taking much political pressures. Do not leave him like Raymond Davis.
