Fake medicines: Five arrested in factory raid

MULTAN: A Health Department team assisted by the CIA police raided a factory and recovered a huge quantity of fake medicines here on Tuesday. The factory had been producing counterfeit life-saving drugs. The raiding team confiscated machines, a syrup and other medicines being produced without a licence. Health Department officials took samples of several products and sealed the factory. Five people including factory manager Saqib were arrested. Factory owner Sabir Ansari managed to flee.
