Qadri, while speaking at a press conference in Lahore, said that the new protest would take place in six cities, starting in Gujranwala on February 16.
The PAT leader insisted that he does not intend to delay elections and wants them to take place on time, which is what the “revolution march” aims to accomplish. He added that the PAT will file a petition with the Supreme Court to ensure free and fair elections take place in a timely fashion.
Qadri denied having any contact with Chief of the Army Staff Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.

@Maria:
I dont understand why all of you are focused on Character assassination and just trying portray out of the context... How come a long march is needed in Canada.. lols
we have problems here in our Pakistan, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri lived for more than 55 years in Pakistan and still Pakistani national by birth. He runs a worldwide social welfare organization having proper infrastructure in 90 countries and this is not it, He is serving as a ambassador of peace worldwide, denouncing terrorism (which many of our fellow Muslim think justifiable) in Islam, wrote 1000 books and more than 400 already published. His more than 5000 video lectures covering Islam as a way of life and it's aspect as a religion of 21st century. People who spent five days in chilled cold weather, in raining with their families and continuous threat of attack from Shaitan Malik's controlled Police and suicide attack from terrorist, were so sure about their leader Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. They were un-armed and were ready to lay their lives and lives of their family on the call of their leader while remaining peaceful during all this time, not even a glass broken nor a leave of a tree. You will not found such an extraordinary example anywhere in the world. Those unknown people and their leader which look strange to you, cannot be found easily. You cannot give one such example. I wish majority of our nation comprise of such extra ordinary people who are determined and strong in their character. It's their will that they said what most powerful parties and groups couldn't say. They believe on striving for the right path whether it looks ridiculous to most of the people.
About PTI, I would say they have lost the train. it was time for IK to come up as a national leader but he remained a conventional politician. Where Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is now a national leader and after Quaid-Azam(RA) I don't see any other person like him filling the gap.
time not allowed such adventures better to be part of election process rather to confront
@Dajjal: I can't forgive the deluded people who went with this runaway cleric to blackmail an elected government. Imagine if Tahirul Qadri had started this time of stunt in Canada. They would put him in jail in short order but in Pakistan, there are always gullible people who are willing to follow someone who speaks loudly and contradicts himself everywhere. Did you see this guy on the British TV show Hardtalk- he came across as an uneducated rabble rouser. He couldn't answer one question by the interviewer but just kept speaking loudly as though that would make his comments stick?
wonder if he order a new container!
Dude, you are old, stop with the long marches...thak jaaogay
We had enough of him now. Kick him out of the country.
Dr Tahir is the Only Home.imran was a leader but now he is not.he is confused leader, but Dr Tahir is a great person, fight 5 days in islamabad for nation while others so called clown were in thier home in drunk condition.
Let the media ignore his theatrics and stop giving him 'live' coverage and see him flop like a deflated balloon .. we've given him far too much of our time already .. just ignore him and he shall too pass.
"He added that the PAT will file a petition with the Supreme Court to ensure free and fair elections take place in a timely fashion" . First give this free and Fair explanation to canadian authorities about your safe and sound wandering in Pakistan.
Keep going.. We need fun. :)
@jamshed pti support base is youth..at the moment youth is not supporting tuq...tuq has religious right vote bank which means he will definitely dent pml n in the elections thus benefitting pti...thats why we see why pml n is so harsh towards tuq..
I can't help thinking that ET has some negative bias against TuQ. Although I don't personally have much support for the man, I'm noticing that every article that ET puts up about him is replete with unfounded insinuation and cynical undertones.
I don't think he is an 'establishment' man, since Kyani openly dismissed him just a few days ago in a meeting with the government. Likewise, I don't think he's in the Talibaan mould, since TTP didn't even acknowledge him in thier recent video conference. He's just another random politician trying to get his voice heard - the rest of the speculation surrounding him seems to be little more than whipped up media hysteria, of which ET is every bit as guilty as many other outlets.
Having a free and open press is one thing - but we the people are still holding out for a mature, responsible one.
Hasan
Qadri if you want better Pakistan please support and vote PTI.. This is the only solution in current scenerio, If you go for election by your own than it may effect PTI vote and will help the PML-N to win election in Punjab and same will be in SInd for PPP.
Wrong information, it is not a long march. He clearly stated that it would be a march to increase popularity in different cities ahead of the elections in which his party is likely to contest, not him personally. There's nothing wrong with marching with people and then holding a speech in front of thousands in different cities and propelling your claims. Some people love jumping on the bandwagon and some newspapers love twisting stories to completely change objective.
Is he Joking or what ??? seriously get a life qadri !!!!
How about a HUMAN RIGHTS march, Mr Qadri?
Who cares about a revolution that will change nothing and create only MORE chaos. The revolution we need in pakistan is not an external civil war with bloodshed, looting and rape.
What we need is a revolution in our way of thinking and behaving- an internal revolution.
So please stop trying to get martial law imposed and an emergency declared with your complete stupidity.
Only when we have HUMAN RIGHTS can we hope for peace and civil rights.
Savor's lovin' it...!
Qadri is the new hope for Pakistan, Love you qadri sahb.
we are still waiting for a sincere leader......
this mullah is just another strategic asset and will soon be out of control....our army always looses control of strategic assets....look what happened with the taliban....Qadri was one of Maulana Zia Ul Haqs right hand men..he cannot be trusted......his master Zia bought terrorism to Pakistan and idiots like Qadri will allow it to flourish
I think I dont have any interest in his march now.
He has surely got the backing of some establishments to implement their agenda which appears to be stalling the coming elections.
Qadri sb, plz forgive people of Pakistan... Thanks a lot
He got new orders from foreign agencies after failing the first march
one thing to agree with Mr. Qadri... country still operating under marshal law the only difference is it is the civil not military and think that military one was better.
His revolution will continue till the martial law is imposed
