LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri announced a new “revolution march” on Monday for free and fair elections, Express News reported.

Qadri, while speaking at a press conference in Lahore, said that the new protest would take place in six cities, starting in Gujranwala on February 16.

The PAT leader insisted that he does not intend to delay elections and wants them to take place on time, which is what the “revolution march” aims to accomplish. He added that the PAT will file a petition with the Supreme Court to ensure free and fair elections take place in a timely fashion.

Qadri denied having any contact with Chief of the Army Staff Ashfaq Pervez Kayani.
