Fifty rescuers evacuated the labourers trapped under the rubble.

LAHORE: Two labourers died and 13 were injured when the roof of an under-construction warehouse collapsed at Nishtar Colony on Sunday. Rescue 1122 officials said the deceased were identified as Safdar Sana, 27, and Mohammad Tariq, 25. The injured were rushed to the Lahore General Hospital where the condition of two of them was said to be precarious. Fifty rescuers evacuated the labourers trapped under the rubble. They used heavy machinery to remove the debris. A large number of neighbours and police helped the rescuers. Nishtar Circle DSP Tariq Zafar said around 10 labourers were still in the hospital. Separately, four members of a family were injured when the roof of their dilapidated one-room house collapsed at Shera Kot. The injured were taken to Mayo Hospital where their condition was said to be out of danger.
