Parts of Karachi to go without water for two days

More than half of the city will be without water for two days as the Dhabeji Pumping Station is undergoing maintenance from Thursday morning, said the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board on Tuesday.


“Because of the installation of valves and other repairs, the supply from Dhabeji Pumping Station will remain suspended for 48 hours starting from 9am on January 31 till 9am February 2,” said a statement issued by the water board.

The towns which will face a shortage during this include Lyari, Saddar, Keamari, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Landhi, Korangi, Baldia as well as Landhi Industrial Area and Korangi Industrial Area.
