KARACHI: The current cold spell across Sindh is here to stay, at least for another four days. The intense cold wave in the province is coming all the way from Siberia, said chief meteorologist Muhammad Tauseef Alam.

On Friday, the lowest temperature of nearly freezing point, 0.5 degrees centigrade, was recorded at Moen jo Daro, as a result of the drop in temperatures in Quetta from -5 to -13 degrees centigrade, said Alam.

Meanwhile, the met department forecast minimum temperatures for Karachi between seven and nine degrees centigrade on Saturday.
