LWMC demonstrates new equipment at city schools.
The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has resumed its campaign of awareness activities in educational institutions after the end of winter vacations.
LWMC in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund visited Beaconhouse School System, Johar Town branch along with Turkish contractor OZPAK. LWMC Communications Assistant Manager M Umair Khan and Asad Ahmed spoke about how the LWMC operated, the importance of cleanliness and the role of responsible citizens. Students were shown a documentary on the new solid waste system being introduced to facilitate the city. Students were also given a practical demonstration of a mechanical sweeper and a washer, used by the LWMC, for cleaning the city.
