Political strings?: Karachi DIG crime transferred

KARACHI: DIG Crime in Karachi Bashir Memon  was reportedly transferred to the interior ministry on Monday. According to reports, DIG Memon gave a statement in the apex court against policeman Waseem, also known as Waseem Beater, who received out-of-turn promotions and is allegedly operating a gambling network in Karachi. DIG Memon was reportedly transferred on the behest of Waseem. He was not aware of his transfer when approached for comment.
