The manhunt for Shahrukh Jatoi, and other suspects, picked pace on Monday when a team of police officials departed Karachi for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to apprehend the accused following the issuance of formal arrest warrants.
According to some media reports, Shahrukh had already been taken into custody by the team in Dubai. However, the reports could not be independently verified by The Express Tribune.
The latest move in the high profile murder inquiry has become possible after a Karachi Anti Terrorism Court issued perpetual non-bailable warrants for the arrest of Shahrukh Jatoi and his father on Monday.
Sources reveal that officials will assist Interpol and Dubai’s CID police in their search for Shahrukh. Besides, Shahrukh Jatoi, at least three other companions namely Asif Lund, Mazhar Khaliq and Azhar Khaliq are likely present in Dubai as well. These accused were also present at the time of Shahzeb’s murder.
Police have already seized the Prado belonging to Lund, which was used in the murder, during a raid at his residence. Special Investigation Unit police chief SSP Farooq Awan said that Shahrukh Jatoi could not escape after the issuance of red-warrants. “After the issuance of red warrants we will arrest him (Shahrukh) no matter which part of the world he escapes to,” he added.
Shahrukh Jatoi has been evading arrest after he reportedly left for UAE on December 27, two days after the incident.
How did Shahrukh Jatoi escape to Dubai?
A senior police officer on the condition of anonymity told The Express Tribune that the police suspected the involvement of Federal Investigating Agency (FIA) officials in helping Shahrukh board an Emirates flight without undertaking exit procedures. Meanwhile, under pressure to explain the escape of the high-profile suspect, the FIA has also initiated an inquiry into the matter.

As a society sometimes we wake up and take interest in a case like we did in this case. But unfortunately our attention span is short and we let go of the pressure at or after the arrest and don't follow through until the justice is completely served. Speaking of which how many of us remember and/or following up on Sailkot brother's case????
A positive lesson can also be drawn from this that we can defeat anyone no matter how powerful if we stand up and demand properly, like it happened so far in this case. I just hope that we don't relent on the pressure at this point.
As long as the feudals rule, justice is but a myth. unless we take it in our own hands.

Why did Sikander Jatoi appear on TV talk show? That was stupid, and he came unprepared.!!! I fear for the lives of the people who are runing this campaign of finding justice, as these waderas are very vengeful, and blood thirsty. Plaese pray for the safety of Mr. Khanzada
@Silas- hahaha indeed his name appears to be Asif Lund, it made me laugh also. On a serious note, scores of people die every day in Karachi, but the police keeps on sleeping, but because ShahZeb Khan was the son of an influential DSP, the police and judiciary have left no stone unturned. In Pakistan there is justice only for the VIPs and not for the ordinary Citizens. Sad, very Sad.

Hunt and find this FIA agent. He equally deserved to be punished for lying and betraying a nation.

The News and other media outlets are running that he has been arrested in Dubai. Why is this story so far behind?
Real hero is shahzeb Khanzada.. who through dedicated bravery showed what true journalist can achieve. He single handedly exposed the truth and showed how sikandar Jatoi (father) was creating fabricated statements. His coverage not only helped CJ take notice but also exposed Police and FIA deliberate negligence. Other journalist should take this as example , rather than planning 'Planted Interviews' and taking bribes in the form of property and cash.
Confiscate their properties and Hang them
Charges must be framed against FIA officials and convict them who helped Shahrukh to escape from Pakistan.
