ISLAMABAD: In wake of an impending long march to Islamabad by Sheikh-ul-Islam Dr Tahirul Qadri, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif have collectively resolved that come what may on January 14, 2013, the democratic process in the country will not be allowed to go off track.

Ashraf and Nawaz agreed that democracy was the only way forward and the people of Pakistan would not allow any attempt to derail the democratic process in the country.

The PML-N chief said that Pakistan has lived through the horrors of so-called slogans of revolutions and long marches. But, both Nawaz and Ashraf agreed that the best way to ascertain the people's wishes was through ballot.

The Prime Minister said that the restoration of democracy owed itself to arduous struggle of political forces in the country and that the system needed continuity to evolve.

Ashraf said that it was a sign of political maturity that all the political forces were on the same page as far as the need for continuity of democratic system was concerned. He added that the government was committed to holding of fair, free and transparent elections in the country as per law and Constitution.

The prime minister assured Nawaz that all necessary steps would be taken to achieve this objective.

Imran Khan has been said exactly, accurately and truly in the near past in his statements that PML-N's and PPP's heads are traveling in the Samjhota Express and PML-N has been playing the friendly opposition role since 2009/2010 in the parliament and assemblies and before the nation they have been showing hypocrisy, enmities and differences and till now PML-N has comradely/friendly attitude and soft corner for PPP in its heart and PML-N and PPP truly believe in the turns' politics, for instance.first your turn second our turn and one thing is confirmed,id est,PML-N and PPP are looking their uncertain future in the light if current changing political atmosphere of Pakistan this is why they are taking now such these types of steps collectively by giving this statement that we shall never derail the democracy in Pakistan whereas their democracy is most worst form of democracy rather than the democracy under Musharraf's regime because under the PML-N's and PPP's democratic regime the Pakistan's and nation's present conditions have been very very very miserable economically and internal security-wise.....

Top Brass has also supported democratic process which is a great news for democracy. Their decision will make easier for Imran Khan to break the silence and join democratic forces.
