ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has planned to establish an industrial estate in collaboration with the Chakwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) at Nila Dullah, Chakwal to facilitate growth of industrial activities.

Speaking at a meeting here on Friday, ICCI President Zafar Bakhtawari said a portion of the industrial estate would be allocated for an export processing zone, which would create job opportunities, bring new technology and know-how and attract foreign investment.

He said Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had, in principle, agreed to establish an industrial estate at the Chakwal Motorway because of relatively affordable property prices there.

He was of the view that establishment of interchange at Nila Dullah will bring numerous benefits to the people of surrounding areas and give boost to economic activities while establishment of Export Processing Zones in all over the country would enable the businessmen of those areas to increase their exports.

Speaking on the occasion, Maj.General (R) Yaqoob Khan assured his support for establishing interchange at Nila Dullah and urged the leaders of all the political parties to provide help for establishing industrial estate at Chakwal Motorway by burying their political differences.
