Local government act: Government reshuffles DCOs across K-P
DCOs will hold charge of administrator district council in their areas in addition to their own duties.

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government ordered postings and transfers of the district coordination officers (DCOs) to be effective from January 1 across the province. According to the details, former DCOs Abbottabad, Bannu, Battagram, Buner, Charsadda, Chitral, Dir Upper, Lower Dir, DI Khan, Hangu, Haripur, Karak, Kohat, Kohistan, Lakki Marwat, Malakand, Mansehra, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Shangla, Swabi, Swat, Tank and Tor Ghar will be transferred. The DCOs will hold charge of the administrator district council in their areas in addition to their own duties till further orders. Meanwhile, the provincial government also ordered transfer and posting of former secretary food department (Retd) Major Khalid Hussain Gilani as secretary Zakat, Ushr and social welfare department, while the former secretary of Zakat, Ushr and Social Welfare Sahibzada Fazal Amin has been transferred and posted as the food department secretary.
