LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the New Anarkali SHO by January 2 on a petition seeking registration of an FIR against three people accused of not clearing dues for equipment purchased for a collage.

Petitioner Zahid Munir, who deals in laboratory equipment sold to colleges, said that a few days ago Maqsood Ahmed, Muhammad Qayyum and Ghulam Shabbir had purchased equipment for Government Collage Bhakkar. He said they had paid Rs200,000 out of their total bill of Rs406,000.

The petitioner said the men had been his clients in the past. When he asked them for the remainder of the payment they asked for more time, eventually refusing payment. Munir said he learnt that the men had recieved the entire amount from the college administration. He said he went to the SHO to register an FIR but was unable to do so. He prayed the court to direct the SHO concerned to register an FIR against the men.

Murder suspect granted pre-arrest bail

Additional District and Sessions Judge Naeem Ahmed summoned the police record while granting pre-arrest bail to a man accused of kidnap, rape and murder.

The judge granted bail to Din Muhammad ordering him to furnish a bail bond for Rs100,000 with the direction to cooperate with the investigation.

The petitioner said that he had been unfairly implicated in the case.

Allah Ditta registered an FIR with the Ghaziabad police on December 19 saying that on December 18 he came home to find his wife, Kulsoom Bibi, missing.

He said he was told that Din Muhammad had abducted his wife. Ditta contacted Muhammad who said that he was not involved. The petitioner told the police that he was able to locate his wife who Muhammad had detained in a house.

He said he and some acquaintances had gone to Muhammad’s house to free  but he had shot his wife.
