LAHORE:

Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah on Friday criticised the Pakistan Peoples Party for not taking Benazir Bhutto’s murderers to task.

He was talking to reporters at the Punjab Assembly.

He said that “the forces” that had stopped Benazir’s post mortem were responsible for the lack of progress in the investigation into her assassination. He vowed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would steer the investigation in the “right direction” if it came into power. In order to distract attention from its five years of corruption and bad governance, said Sanaullah, the PPP wanted to play with people’s emotions by using the name of Zulfikar and Benazir Bhutto. Now, he said, it had brought forward Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for this purpose. He criticised Tahirul Qadri “whose connection with the establishment has been established”.
