QUETTA: A shutter down strike was observed in different towns of the Mekran division on the second consecutive day in protest at the ongoing operation in Mashkey by the security forces.

The strike was observed in areas including Turbat, Mand, Tump, Gwadar, Pasni, Panjgur and other towns of Mekran where private and government offices were shut. Meanwhile, activists of the Balochistan National Party and other groups took out a rally in Kalat town. Prominent BNP leaders addressing the participants condemned the operation.
