According to police the deceased, a student of MA English and daughter of a noted educationalist, Muhammad Raza Vanis, boarded the train in Rawalpindi for Gujar Khan along with her parents and other family members.
The driver did not stop the train in Gujar Khan and the family members lodged protest to the train staff who did not pay any heed to their complaint. When the train reached Jhelum the girl in desperation tried to alight from it but lost balance and fell on the platform and slammed with the moving train and died on the spot.
