Price control: 574 shops checked, 126 ticketed
Fines worth a total of Rs89,450 imposed on shopkeepers for overcharging.

LAHORE:
The city government has conducted raids on 574 shops to check prices and issued challans to 126 for profiteering and hoarding in an ongoing crackdown against profiteers. Officials said that seven cases had been registered and fines worth a total of Rs89,450 imposed on shopkeepers for overcharging. DCO Noorul Amin Mengal has instructed price control magistrates to continue with their crackdown.
