Two policemen suspended: Man escapes in SHO’s uniform
Another policeman was also reportedly suspended along with the SHO.
According to reports, he was suspended after an accused apprehended by the police during snap checking managed to escape from the police station by wearing the uniform of the SHO.
Another policeman was also reportedly suspended along with the SHO. When contacted, DSP Zahid Hussain said that no case was registered against the fleeing accused as he managed to escape shortly after being brought to the police station, adding that there were also ‘other reasons’ to suspend the SHO and another policeman.
DSP Hussain further said that the police have been ordered to enhance snap checking to re-arrest the accused who fled from police custody.
