QUETTA: The Baloch Human Rights Organisation (BHRO) held a protest at the Quetta Press Club on Wednesday against the ongoing military operation in Mashkay.

The leaders of the BHRO said that despite the government’s claims that there are no operations being carried out in Balochistan a planned military operation is under way.

The leaders claimed that the military had used helicopters in the operation resulting in the death of many. They said that the government claims that the operation is directed against culprits but in reality the local residents who had raised their voices against the armed forces are being tortured.

They appealed to international human right organisations to play a role “in bringing an end to this brutality”.
