Targeted: IB official shot dead
The accused managed to flee.
SWABI:
An assistant sub-inspector of the Intelligence Bureau was gunned down by unidentified assailants on Sunday night. A Swabi police official said that Abdul Hanan was returning to his house after offering Maghrib prayers when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. The accused managed to flee. The police rushed to the site and shifted him to District Headquarters Hospital for an autopsy. The police have registered an FIR against the unidentified culprits. He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard with state honour in Ghara Saleem Khan area of the district. Five officials of secret agencies have been killed in the district over the year.
