Violence: School blown up in Hangu

This was the fifth such incident since June.

HANGU: Amid the recent surge of violence following reports of suspected militants in the suburbs, another school was attacked on Sunday. Rahim Khan, an official of Doabara Police said that a loud explosion was heard in Saru Khel area at 8pm. “A bomb planted near the boundary wall of a government primary school for boys, destroyed two rooms and the surrounding wall,” said the official. According the bomb disposal squad, explosives weighing eight kilogrammes were used in the blast.  This was the fifth such incident since June. Despite the police claim to launch search operation and curb violence in the area, no action has been taken so far.
